Hello All,

…and congratulations on coming this far with me.

Stress reliever number five is simple but profound. Pay attention or you might miss it.

When gift giving, strive for thoughtfulness, not originality. Let me say that again, be thoughtful, not original. Don’t chase that perfect gift. Don’t try to be novel; don’t look high and low for something that startles. Go with thoughtful.

Do you find yourself looking for that perfect gift?

Stop it. Be thoughtful instead.

So what is thoughtful?

Things you already know they love.

Every year, every Father’s Day, Birthday, Christmas, Columbus Day, whatever, my family gives me books, mostly history books. Or vinyl albums. Why? Because I like books and records and they know that. Do I ever get tired of then or disappointed by the selection? Never. Wholly appreciated, and usually on the money. Always thoughtful, and I’m sure stress free.

Do you find yourself looking for that perfect gift?

Be thoughtful, not original.

Let it go.

And everyone loves chapstick or mugs.

Season’s Beatings,

ks

Handmade soap. That's the gift that keeps on giving! I give it to my mothers-in-law, mother, and sisters-in-law every Christmas because I find great scents, pretty designs, and different soap makers every year at craft bazaars and I just can't help myself! I think about what scent each individual person would prefer (hence the thoughtful part), but it's not something I ever really have to search for...the soaps find me! ;)

And due to the large number of stinky and dirty people, handmade soap is both thoughtful and useful. It is a great way to tell your friends that they smell bad without offence. If you simply gave them a store bought piece of soap, they would be offended and probably not take the hint. Not so with handmade soap. Nice job MKDB

Wise might be a stretch, but certainly simple. Happy Holidays Pattie, and by extension Bret!
