Table for Six? Nope!

If you have wondered about the scientific basis of the current pandemic and questioned the guidelines issued from experts and felt slightly uneasy about the current recommendations for your "safety" during reopening, you are not alone.

So have I.

What is passing for science and best practices is neither scientific nor best practices.

My family ventured into a restaurant this past weekend after a hike. There were six of us. We were the only people in the place, and we were dining outside. We were told the next phase guidelines were in effect and five was the maximize per table, we could not all six sit at the same table. Six people named Swaim.

So, is there some data, some randomized double-blind controlled experiment, showing that five people are safe and six magically becomes dangerous?

I doubt it.

In support of locally owned businesses, we stayed and ate, three at one table, two at another, and me swinging back and forth. We finished, paid the bill, and left.

We all six piled into a minivan, the same minivan, and went home. Six people named Swaim.

Of course, it is perfectly safe to ride six in a minivan! (more science)

But I did not wear my seat-belt. (rebel)

Healthy people do not need protection. Healthy people need people. And so do sick people.

Please keep asking questions folks. There is something wrong with what we are being told.

Cheers,

ks

PS-I am enclosing a very provocative post by a medical doctor who is also an attorney, all rolled into one. I think we should be listening. Click here to read her article: Tearing Apart Our Social Fabric Thread by Thread
