When is the Best Time to Do Anything in Life?A Book Review, By Dee Iverson, Practice MemberTHE BOOK:The Power of When: Learn the Best Time To Do Everything (Order the book here)THE AUTHOR:Michael Breus, PhDTHREE SENTENCE SUMMARY:1) Everyone has their own biological clock, their Chronotype, or best time to do things; such as eating, sleeping, working, communicating, negotiating, and learning.2) Knowing and following your Chronotype will improve your health and increase the happiness in your life.3) Understanding the Chronotype of the other people in your life will improve your interactions with them.WHO IS THIS BOOK FOR?:People who are interested in practical ideas for improving their quality of life personally, in their careers, in their service to others, etc...PERSONAL REFLECTION:I tend to be a skeptic about these kinds of book, but the author cites a surprising amount of research, as well as anecdotal evidence, to present his strategies to improve people's lives. The book is entertaining, interesting, and thought-provoking. Although real like often makes it difficult to implement these ideas, I do believe there is genuine value in the information shared. The concept of timing medications and blood tests according to the patient's individual Chronotype is especially intriguing to me.
